ʻOhana · the Hawaiian edition of 78 Arc

An oracle of its own, not a repainted tarot: 48 cards drawn from gods, values and the four realms of sky, sea, land and fire. Carried by the mahina, the Hawaiian moon calendar · with the same calm depth that defines 78 Arc.

The heart of it

Mahina · thirty nights, thirty moods

The Hawaiian moon calendar gives every night of the month its own name and its own quality. In ʻOhana, the mahina carries the daily card: each day arrives with a real, datable mood · independent of which card finds you.

Hilo
The first crescent. Set beginnings, quiet and fine.
Hoku
The full moon. Abundance, visibility, celebration.
Muku
The dark night. Completing, resting, letting go.
The deep matrix

One card, many layers

Behind every card lies the full deep matrix. The head stays put while the depth drifts by.

Deep matrix · header of the card Heʻe, The Octopus
Deep matrix in detail · all layers of the card
Archetype to everyday life · the psychological layers: life lesson, keywords, shadow, daily life, spirit.
Akua & kinolau · each card’s deity and nature form, with their teaching.
Mea kanu, mahina & wahi pana · plant, moon night and place as anchors of mood.
Eight positional questions · from Kumu to Lōkahi, always questions, never verdicts.
Approach

A universe of its own, built with care

Where 78 Arc points outward · to Kabbalah, astrology, I Ching and runes · ʻOhana points inward, into the Hawaiian universe.

A Hawaiian web of correspondences

Every card knows its deity (akua), its nature form (kinolau), its plant, its moon night and its place. Plus the full deep matrix: archetype, shadow, lesson, everyday life.

Questions, not answers

Every card asks one core question and eight positional questions, from Kumu (origin) to Lōkahi (synthesis). The cards do not read you · they ask you.

Cultural care

Correct spelling with ʻokina and kahakō, documented sources, modern curation labelled as such. No "secret ancient wisdom", no promises of healing.

Offline & private

Just like 78 Arc: everything stays on your device. No account, no tracking, no ads.

"The honu does not measure the way in haste, but in faithfulness. Deep and slow, she finds her way home."

Status

Travelling at its own pace

ʻOhana is built on the 78 Arc engine and is being curated right now: card by card, source by source. Good things take time · especially a deck meant to meet a living culture with respect.

News will appear here as it happens. Until then: 78 Arc launches first.
